Role Description The Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist is a full-time, on-site role based in Hampton, IA. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to produce hydraulic components and other precision parts according to specifications. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tooling, loading materials, adjusting machine settings, and performing routine inspections and measurements to ensure accuracy. The CNC Machinist will maintain equipment, follow safety and quality standards, and collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules. The role also involves identifying machining issues, making necessary adjustments, and documenting work performed to support continuous improvement. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in machine operation and working safely with machinery. Candidates should possess skills in machining and milling for precision component production. Candidates should possess skills in quality control, including measurement, inspection, and adherence to tolerances. Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. 2+ Prior CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to safety practices. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining or related field is beneficial.
